Door handle wont go back full flush... I can push it down and it sticks... but when I shut the door is pops out about an 1/8th of an inch... anyway to adjust this? is this common>?

EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE NOT FLUSH IN THE CLOSED POSITION
Some 2005-2008 Mustang vehicles may exhibit an exterior door handle not flush in the closed position. This may result in a loose handle, rattle noise, hard to open, and/or door self locks when opening outside handle. (Figure 1)

The concern is caused by pre-loading/biasing the exterior door handle actuating rod, the front door latch, or both. Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Raise the door window glass to the full up position.
2. Remove the door trim panel.
3. Position the watershield aside.
4. Raise the manual lock rod to the unlock position. (Figure 2)
5. Disconnect the exterior door handle actuating rod from the front door latch assembly.
a. Open the retaining clip and disconnect the actuating rod. (Figures 3 through 5)
6. Reinstall the exterior door handle actuating rod back into the clip.
NOTE: DO NOT PUSH PIN BACK INTO HANDLE. (FIGURE 6)
a. Position the actuating rod into clip in a neutral or bias up position.
b. Close the retaining clip and test the system to ensure that the exterior door handle is operating correctly.
c. Adjust the actuating rod as necessary.
NOTE: DO NOT BIAS THE ROD DOWN AND DO NOT BIAS THE FRONT DOOR LATCH.
NOTE: IF EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE IS BROKEN, OR THE METAL PIN IS PULLED OUT OF THE SPRING ON THE BACK OF THE DOOR HANDLE, THEN REPLACE THE DOOR HANDLE.
7. Position back the watershield.
8. Install the door trim panel.

I had this problem on my passenger side door a while ago and brought it in to the dealer. They fixed it pretty quickly.

x2...........my left handle is like this, and bugs the hell outa me - pass. door, the handle is loose! I thought Jeeps were bad

You can adjust the window stops while doing this as well, I presume?

When my door handle wouldn't stay flush I had to replace the handle. There's a spring that is molded right into the handle's plastic that broke through the plastic. My Ford dealer had a new handle painted and gave it to me. I told them I'd rather do the work and they agreed to do it that way.

No, can't you read? It was a warranty situation and I'd rather not have left my car with them and they agreed to let me do the work and still get the part at no cost. Normally a dealer wouldn't do this, but I'm sure Ford paid them for the labor too, so it was to their advantage and I didn't have to worry about some jackhole screwing something up with my car.
