After 50 years of my drivers side door opening, the lower door hinge spring broke off.
I know it controls the door swing but is it necessary to replace now? or can I get away
not replacing until season ends. Also can it be replaced without removing door?
Thanks

As long as you are careful opening your door then it wont be a problem waiting. Yes it can be done without removing the door.
