I would like to replace my Door Striker Bushings, the Striker needs to be removed from the B Pillar to do this, is the nut on the inside "captured" or do I need to remove the rear interior panel to hold it my self?
It will fall right down in there if you're not careful (go ahead...ask how i know...lol). I held mine with a magnet.

When I removed my striker the anchor plate didn’t fall down, I believe that there was something like a thin metal track that hold the anchor plate into place.
But to eliminate any doubt as to what needs to be done to remove and reinstall the striker I copied this is from the Ford Shop Manual.

mine striker plate fell right to the floor. Then I had to get the sail panel loose to get it out of there. Maybe they only fall out on the older cars?
Sounds like to be on the safe side I should use a Magnet just in case the Anchor Plate wants to fall.
