While waiting on a decision to which door seal supplier I should purchase from, I noticed my door strikers have no bushings. I ordered a set of bushings and ended up destroying the old striker bolt trying to remove the washer. Then I ordered a new set of striker bolts with bushings, installed one, and the door will not release after closing. This is without door seals installed. Is it possible my Mustang door strikers never had a nylon bushing? I'm starting to think that. I measured the door latch opening with it closed and it measured 0.66-0.68 inch. The new door striker bushing OD is 0.683 inch.
