Does anyone know where in the world the wire or plug is for the door switch that activates the dome light & buzzer? My switch is malfunctioning and draining my battery and I just want to unplug it, BUT when I removed the panel there is a few BIG plugs with quite a few wires on each and I just don't want to go unplugging stuff. I am looking for the specific wire, I sure wish there was a diagram for this. My stang is a 1999 GT Hardtop, 5-speed if it makes any difference. PLEASE HELP! My idea was to just find this switches wiring and either unplug it or clip it then just buy a new battery. It would save me money from taking it in.......labor costs

It's a black connector with 2 wires that is clipped into the switch that is snapped into the latch. You have to remove the door panel to get to it.

A little tip that sometimes works. Spray the latch with a good amount of WD40. Open and close the door about 20 times. It may start to work properly again.

I found a dark gray connector behind the door panel (Drivers) that is near the handle and it has a red wire and a yellow wire.
