Trying to install a stock head unit from my 05 f150 in my 90 coupe. I'm having furnace issues. The head unit is hitting the bar that runs below the hvac controls. Any suggestions?
I don't want to move the hvac controls, Id like to have the radio in the origional location if possible.
I ran into this when I tried to put a Mach 460 in my fox.
At first, i trimmed the front of the bar out. But then the radio was hitting the two studs. You need to remove the bar, cut the two studs on the trans tunnel flush, cut the carpet out of the area and then possibly clearance" the tunnel downwards slight to clear the bottom of the radio.
I wasnt willing to do this, so it killed the project for me.
