I'm going to be taking my car to the strip regularly, and wanted to see if anyone knew who makes the strongest 5 speed conversion parts. Any help is appreciated, thanks a lot.

there are many 5spd options... I will try and list them weakest to strongest:

T-5Z
Tremec 3550
Tremec TKO
Tremec TKO by X2C motorsports

Im not sure if that helps, Im not to sure what you mean by conversion parts.

I would have to say you will be best off with a C4 at the strip!

A built C4 with a properly matched converter would be easier if you are starting as an auto, but if you want a strong 5-speed its tough to beat the X2C TKO, garunteed into the 9's

This was actually something that I was just thinking about. The two options I was looking at are X2C and G-Force. X2C has 3 different versions of the TKO with the lowest rated being good to 9.90 quarter mile and the highest rated being good to 9.10 quarter. The low end TKO goes for 1699 brand new. The G-Force is rated for 600 horsepower and goes for 1000-kit, 1600-using used core, and 2000-using a new core. In my own opinion the X2C sounds like an awesome bang for the buck.

Richmond also makes a bullet proof 5 speed along with their spiffy 6 speeds

boo the richmond 6 speeds LOL It's all about the t-56's man. Ha!

Just get a Tremec if you want to drag race with a stick shift. Although I would recomend an AOD for strip use and still have the overdrive.

I'm not talking about the transmission itself. I meant who makes the strongest crossmember, clutch cable that wont break, etc. I'm going with a Tremec 3550. The C4 is better, for the strip, but this is also a street car, I dont like the needle a 4 grand when I'm cruising. Thanks.

a crossmember is a crossmember and a clutch cable is a cable. Or something like that. Any name brand will do.

If you are really putting out some power (500+) I would jsut use stock stuff. If you are going to push those limits, I would build a solid transmission mount (and matching motor mounts). A stock crossmember will work just fine. I also suggest looking into a scattershield so your clutch doesnt chop off your foot. Also a spec staged clutch. I was say stage 2 would be good.
