I have a buddy that has an '88 LX. He has a draw on the battery somewhere that is causing a no start/dead battery situation. With the help of a test ligth, he has come to the comclusion that it is coming from the accesories drawing from the #8 fuse. He put the test light on the power wire and positive post with the power wire unhooked. When he pulls the #8 fuse, the test light goes out.

We checked all of the accesories associated with that fuse by unhooking the wire harness at the connection point to each accesory with no luck. What do we do now?

There will be a draw from that circuit. I'd replace the test light with a DMM and note the draw.

Also, he has the doors closed when he does this, right? And he pulled the bulb for the underhood light?

Also have him check his glovebox light (make sure it goes out with the glovebox door closed).

That's where I'd start.

Good luck.

This might not help but my buddy had this problem for years on his GT and he had to take the hot terminal off every time he turned the car off....then one day by chance he noticed that one of the viser lights was stuck on somehow and was constantly pulling juice. Basically no matter how far fetched it sounds, check everything.

I also had a bad headlight switch causing a drain once.
