Who has done it? Where is a good location? Is there an existing hole I can use instead? I have to run 4 guage wire through it on the driver's side. Can anyone offer up some help?

Thanks,
Gabe

Look to the Right your brake booster bout 1/2 way down...there's a large factory grommet right there...I believe the clutch cable and stuff goes through it.....pull out a corner, run your wire then put a slit in the grommet to fit around your wire to cloe it back up....

Hey thanks I guess it won't compromise the gromet by putting a slit into it like that eh?

No, that is what I did, I put a small slit and tried the cable, and made it longer bit by bit until the cable went through and fit very snug, so it wouldn't leak hot air inside the cab.

Just be careful not to stick your razor too far (i.e. 1/4" is plenty), there are a lot of wires running through that gromet.

if i were you, i wouldn't stick any aftermarket wiring (especially if you're installing yourself) in a firewall hole that has factory wiring going through it. i had a bad experience once installing foglights--i stuck the wiring through a hole that had a factory harness it in, and when the wires accidently melted, they also melted the factory wiring they were next to. find an empty hole or drill a new one--just my advice...
