I have a 1997 V6 power driver's seat. I purchased a 2000 GT power driver's seat for a replacement. Issue: 1997 has a 2-wire power connector (1 black wire, 1 grayish w/stripe), 2000 has a 4-wire connector (2 black wires, 1 fatter than the other, and 2 green wires, 1 fatter than the other). Which wires from the 2000 do I use to connect to the 1997 and what is the setup, e.g. black to fatter green, etc.? Also, I read that the 2000 should have the seat belt buckle attached in order for the seat to receive power at all. Is this true, and if so, how can I get around that given the previously owner removed the buckle? Thanks!

Was gonna answer but looks like you figured it out on your own.

You only bought a drivers seat though? No pass seat?

I cut off the 2 wire plug connector from the original seat and spliced it into where the 4 wire conector was in the new seat as follows: On the 4 wire plug there were 2 green wires, 1 black and 1 striped wire. I twisted the 2 green together and the other remaining 2 together - I now had 2 wires. I then attached the 2 green wires to the 1 colored wire from the 2 plug connector and the other 2 to the black wire from the 2 plug connector. Worked perfectly, the lumbar even works! Remember to remove the fuse under the hood first ---learned that the hard way!
