About 3 years ago my passanger window stopped working, so I replaced the motor and it solved the problem. Now my drivers window wont work.

I have the door apart, I removed and replaced the motor but when I go to click the button I get nothing.

I've swapped the passanger side window switch to the driverside location and get nothing.

I've put the drivers side switch on the passanger side location and got nothing.
(I think its safe to assume that my drivers side switch is bad.)

I've looked at the fuses both under the hood and under the drivers left leg and everything checked out fine.

I don't know where else to check, I feel as if the box where the wires meet the switches may be the problem but thats just a guess.

I should note that when performing the tasks above, I did not have my power window mirrors hooked up, nor did I have the "alarm system?" plugged in. (I am referring to the black box located in the corner of the door closest to the drivers side rear wheel.)

What am I missing?

did you check the bushing? they commonly break. do a search for it. there are a couple write ups for replacing them.

Did you ever simply connect fused battery power to the motor to see if it would energize? A bench test like this is quick (it can be done in-car).

ProKiller- those bushings you are referring to are located inside the window motor right? I only ask because I replaced the motor. I could be way off though and if I am where do I look for them?

Hissin- I hate to say this but I don't know anything about how electricity works-how would I do this?

I know I should have a volt meter for this and I don't. Maybe I can borrow one from a friend to confirm that the location which the drivers side window switch plugs into is not getting power.

yeah they are part of the motor i thought.

Here's one of the better how-tos I've come across.

There's only a power and ground wire to each motor. The polarity varies depending upon which direction you're going. You could use a test light (or make one).

When the bushings go, generally the motor still makes noise (but it's just spinning the output shaft).

For bench testing, something along the lines of some spare 12 gauge wire with a 10 amp fuse would be fine for the test.

Make sure youve plugged that relay in the one you have to unplug to take door panel off, when I first got my car driver window wouldnt work and someone had unplugged that relay for some reason. I think if you have door panel off relay isnt plugged in. Just a thought.
