Im wanting to lower my car some when i put new rims/tires on it. Im not sure how low to go, and which route to take.

Im really wanting some of the 5 spoke 2011 GT500 rims.

Im not sure how much drop to do to the car to get it to look good though.

Also how much would handling suffer from just droping the car? Or would it not at all? What gain is there from a supsension kit that drops the car? just bigger antisway bars? (thats what im thinking)

I guess some advice would be nice so i dont spend a bunch of money and not like where i end up.

Thanks

Burns

you don't need much drop with these cars for better handling, i would sample ford racing's handling pack.. shown here....... it gives you the best of both worlds, great handling and a lower aggressive look:

Thats really nice.

But also more money than im willing to spend on suspension right now. I guess i would have to say stance is number 1 right now, because i doubt I will ever fully use the supension it has.

id go with a 1" front drop and 1.25" rear (standard sport kits) its like 200-250 and looks pretty good and you can still go over speed bumps without dragging headers or oil pans lol

Hey Burns331

The Steeda sport springs will give you a nice look with improved handling, without breaking the bank. Lowers the vehicle approx 1 inch front, 1 1/4 inch rear. We are currently running a sale on them and you will get exactly what you are looking for a nice lowered look with improved handling.

Steeda Sport Springs for 2005 and Up Ford Mustang 555-8216

Let me know if you have any questions?

Thanks

If you check out page 2 on this section you can see the drop of the ultralights. They sit nicely on the GT that they are on.

Here are some pictures for you to reference:

I had a 2010 GT and now have a 2012 GT. I did not think the 2010 needed any suspension changes for my driving style. At 4500 miles on the 2012 I have ordered FRPP 1" lowering springs and dampers. More to come. It is not the look I am chasing. It is how it feels.
