Man, what a great car.

No creaks, rattles, nothing.
Seamless power deliver from the 6.0L LS2.
Shifter was notchy but good.
Great torque.
Sick acceleration (3.42's in the rear).
Nice gauge cluster (looked like white LEDs in there).
Keyless start/off button (uses a remote control transponder to be able to start).
Nice sounding exhaust for stock.
Great seats.
HID's standard.

Nothing like driving an N/A big block motor Can't imagine what a Z06 feels like with 100 more HP

......too much. I drove a 06 vette, it was nice but it just didnt feel all that fast, dont get me wrong they are fast cars but there was no real SOTP felling to it IMO. Still sweet cars tho

"Nice stock exhaust?" My dad has an 05 Vette, and the thing is nearly SILENT. With 400 horses, it should roar, but doesn't. It's too bad that catbacks for those things are over $1000.

My dad and I drove one the other day. INCREDIBLY quiet inside for a vette, very smooth, great cars. WAY to quiet exhaust note. The stupid salesman was trying to sell us a corsa exhaust before he even decided if he wanted a vette... I told him my dad still needed to test drive 911 Turbos and a few others...guy said "But...you could buy like THREE vettes for that price!" to which I replied "...yeah...but it's a 911 Turbo, this is just a vette" and he got all pissed.

Base Corvette = LS2
Z06 = LS7
BOTH small blocks.

they are hele bored small blocks ; ) very nice cars. cousin had an ls2 one and it was fun. i dunno, it was a little too plush for me...

I don't know what car you drove, but the Vette is hella fast.

Don't even start to compare it to a Mustang

orly? hmm I guess I missed the part where I said the base vette has an ls7.

and it doesn't matter if they're small blocks, or big blocks, but I'm giving sandy **** just because he gave me **** on another forum .

Yeah, when GM makes a V8 they don't skimp on the bore size like ford did on the modulars.. 3.5 bore SUCKS!

PLEASE FORD.. LESS STROKE MORE BORE NEXT TIME....

i drove my neighbors corvette that thing was fast. i like mustangs better though more fun to drive IMO

vette may have a little nicer interior, ride a little nicer, and run a little quieter, but you're right, you can't compare it to a mustang. My terminator would blow the paint off that over priced machine.

Nice cars, I'll admit, but it all depends on what mustang you drive. You can't compare apples to oranges.
