Hello
I have a 66 GT convertible
The VIN numbers are 6 TO 8 A 238411 and 76B 4 66 06D QT A 5
What is the meaning of the dso code QT ?

Check your info again, "QT" comes up as "unknown" ,is it possible to post a photo of the warranty plate?

The book, "Mustang 1964 1/2-1973 Restoration Guide", only lists numerical (11-99) DSO codes.

I hope you find an answer to this.

There might be an answer , what you can do is contact Ford and get your 999 report (build sheet) I just ordered the reports for my two car's ,as long as they have the warranty plate codes they can tell you about your car the best thing about this service is it's free ,it will take about six week's to get the info ,go for it ,and please keep us posted ,this should be interesting!! click on this link it tell's how to get the report.

The History 999 report is not available for the pre '67 cars. All those records Ford no longer has, they were destroyed. It's possible that the DSO was never stamped, and those are axle trans code you are looking at. Remember, these tags were hand stamped, so there always could be some human error.

It might be weired, mines from canada and was hard to figure out.
