What do you think is a good exhaust piping size for dual exhausts on a V6? I'm thinking dual 2 1/4 but I want to know if anyone thinks that is too much.
Just right, that's the stock 1999-2004 V6, GT, and Mach 1 exhaust diameter. Keeping it 2 1/4" (such as with a GT takeoff catback for instance) maintains your low end torque. I am sure others will post recommendations for various 2 1/2" diameter aftermarket catbacks, but I would use a GT takeoff if it were me converting to duals on a V6.
if you plan on doing a good amount of modifications on your car just go with 2 1/2 true duals.. if your just lightly modding ( exhaust intake udp..nothing major ) just go with either GT take off exhaust or a y pipe kit
