Can anyone tell me if this sounds like the correct way to wire the dual Contour fans and relays?
(2) 40A relays and (2) circuit breakers
#85 wires from both relays wired together and then going to a chassis ground or (-) battery terminal
#86 wires from both relays wired together and going to thermostat probe electrical blade. Probe is inserted into radiator fins. The 2nd electrical blade on the temperature probe gets wired to a 12v (+) source that isn't always hot, or it will run with the car "off" until engine temp gets down to 165 or so. Maybe that would be ok, unless of course the battery gets drained this way.
#87 wires from both relays wired together to the 2(+) wires from the dual fans. The fan (+) wires would also get wired together. Fan (-) wires wired together to a chassis ground..
#30 is the (+) battery source. Each relay connected to its own circuit breaker. May be overkill here, but I figure redundancy can't hurt.
