Ok so my mods are in the sig and i have really been considering either a ZEK Wet Kit, or the Nitrous Express Wet Kit for my trickflow intake, with all the nitrous accesories and a larger fuel pump. I was just looking for a 100-125 shot and i was hoping to get it tuned for a flip chip so i can drive around with full timing and than at the track flip the switch and have a tune set up for nitrous with less timing. My question is my buddy told me on my 5.0 you cant have a tune that takes out less timing only the newer 4.6's can. The only way to lower the timing is to manually do it the old way of turning the distributor. Is this true??? Thank you for your help.

nope. not true, I self tune and you can set timing to whatever you want and which ever rpm you want easily.

Yes you can get a tune that takes out timing or you can get an ignition box with timing retard.

Back when I first installed the n2o I didnt get a tune to take out timing as it was a stock longblock.

I ran a MSD digital6+ box. It has a feature that when you power a 12v input (wire coming out of the box) to like the n2o master on switch (that powers up the n2o or makes it active when you trip the WOT switch) it will take out timing for you.

I ran 14* N/A and 11-10* with the box activated...so the best of both worlds.
