you can get catted shorty mid-pipes. they make a catted prochamber now, so go for it

you will have to check you local laws.

if they do a visual inspection and you no longer have 4 cats you could fail.

I would personally go to an inspection station and ask what the car has to pass and go from there.

in short you can get cats for longtubes and should be able to technically pass emissions but the car will be modified from stock.
