I picked up some flowmaster 40's and im thinking about dumps. But if i have dumps wont the exhaust work its way up into my car?? That really bothers me that the carbon monoxide could get up into the car and i could be breathing it. Anyone have dumps, how do you like them? Do you smell exhaust?

I got dumps and i like them better. Better sound and if i smell exhaust then i don't know it. Never really thought of that or paid any attention.

i have dumps, i smell the exhaust when i back up with the windows down. the only place i think the exhaust could get in is through where the fuel filler neck goes into/under the hatch, behind the plastic molding stuff. on mine it isnt sealed very well, i still dont really smell it though. i wouldnt/and dont worry about it.

if you are worried about fumes, i would not do it. one would be amazed at how many places exhaust smell can get into the car.
plus unless you like loud, many people get tired of dumps.

and i know you were asking if people can smell their exhaust - but since it is deadly, i will (probably redundantly) add that you cant smell CO.

good luck.

Those Dronemasters are going to be loud dumped It's what I have right now. I'm going to go back to Magnaflows once I have the extra $$$ to spend. I have cats on my car, no noticeable fumes. Not even when idling for hours in traffic

Try turndowns- I have mine pointed down at about a 45 degree angle, keeps from sooting up the rear end and no exhaust smell. On a cold morning the exhaust hits the ground at the bottom of the back tires, not much chance to come up in the car! Tips were free, too, just cut six inches off the end of the stock tailpipes. Sounds great!
