DUW, back in the sn95 game................sorta :)

well because its a 260 fwhp car, with longtubes as the only power adder. Its a crapshoot, but Im gonna guess about 240 to the wheels, tops. Unless If Im missing some kinda mods here?

What the **** are you talking about? The motor was slightly underated by Ford at 305 horsepower...they didn't perform as well as they should have because they didn't have enough gear for the high winding engine.

Ok someone straigten me out here. Is this NOT the 2v, 260 horse mustang gt engine? The 305 horse one is in the mach 1. If this was a mach 1, then I would believe those times, because yes, those engines wake up with gears. So what engine or car is this?

i drove it 100miles, at ~75mph it was just under 3k, the IMRC's open at 3250 so i made sure to not cruise above that

for you that dont know (dinosaur 5.0 guys), the IMRC's=intake manifold runner controls...basically, when they open the gas milage goes to the frogs

Wow, I never heard that. I just learned something from Patrick.....what is this world coming to? J/K man. I guess I am a T-rex....

I guess I COULD get the timeslips from the previous guy...why does everyone not belive me

i believe u cuz i owned one. thats a 12 second car you have. and if u have longtubes, and some sort of cold air induction and pullies even u would be at the 300 rwhp mark. 4V motors make good pwoer box stock even NA, and they rev to the moon. u have one sweet A** car dude.

thanks man
I'm looking into getting a JLT cold air intake...know where to get one
That dam "dip" in the stock intake tract has to be pretty restrictive (my excuse to change it)

i hear that the jlt is the best. go to www.forums.modulardepot.com for modular needs. stangnet is an awesome sight, specially for a 5.0, but for modulars i would recommend them they can help u with anything. if u buy pullies get steeda only or somehting with an sfi balancer/pulley assembly. the piggyback pullies tend to cause those motors to spin rod bearings for some reason. also go to www.boss330racing.com , as he is the man for 4V stuff, and can help u out with anything u plan to do to the car.

thanks for the info
I've been trying to learn all i can about these motors, i found out the blocks are the ****NET and so is the crank, the crappy pistons make me mad though :(
I also learned (from looking) that the engine bay is CRAMPED :(

from my experience with modulars, u want to hope and pray u dont blow an exhaust manifold gasket specially with LT's, and the pistons and rods do suck, but they hold u pto 7K revs which isnt to bad. these motors are also not like the stock 302 black whereas it is maxed at 500 horse roughly. both the stock block and crank have been in cars making as much as 750RWHP with absolutely no problems whatsoever. u will learn to love the cra and how smooth it is.
