Which dvd player has the engine management system?

Is there anyway to wire the players so that you can have it playing for your passengers while driving? I guess it must be wired to the e brake circuit. If it is I would probably install another fog light switch and wire it to that as an on off.

What does a engine management system have to do with a dvd???????All the in dash dvd/monitors have a ground circuit that can be bypassed to be used while driving. It says hook up to a e-brake but all you do is ground it.

I figured you were talking about the Avic line with the built in accelerometer..The Avic N1 is the same but the N2 uses XM radio for up to date traffic conditions. You would also need some tupe of speed signal gereator(for Nav) if its going onto a older vehicle.

you do not need any sort of generator. they figure it out with the nav antenna and proper mounting of the break out box.

You do need a speed sensor for the Nav to work, other wise it wont be able to calculate time.I just put one last week.

Is that Pioneer the unit with the gyroscope built-in? If so, it WILL NOT play with the car in motion- yet. People are working on a software hack so that it can be bypassed. Check into the Kenwood 7015 (??)- it seems to be a real nice unit with some different features.

Ok, I just found out that if you wire the unit using the "rear-view camera input" , you can watch movies while in motion. The unit will think the car is in reverse all the time.
