i have only dealt with dynamat so i woulnd't know about the bootleg stuff - yes it might be a little pricy but it's worth it. they sell a whole trunk kit - place the original dynamat on the floor of the trunk and the xtreme on the wheel well and the trunk deck. the difference is night and day. Make sure you vacuum out the trunk very well and then wash it down with rubbing alcohol. You'll also need a sharp razor blade, roller, and heat gun. have fun and good luck
While Dynamat does perform according to it's intended use; you really are paying for the name.
The mark-up on Dynamat is discouragingly excessive.

Generally you can get more than twice as much of these at a lower price than you would with Dynamat.
I'm rather an audio nut too, and have used darn near all of it. They work just as well, if not better than dynamat.

Basically, it's the hidden secret that the sound deadening companies don't want you to know about.
This stuff comes in various sized rolls, is aluminum backed, and costs a fraction of the previous brands that I mentioned, and basically is 100% less than Dynamat.
Works quite well also.
I'd really stay away from the Dynamat, as these other products will do the job quite nicely, and definately at a lesser out of pocket cost.
I picked up a roll of the Gatorskin stuff, I think it's made by Cascade. I chose it for the sole reason that *something* is going to be better than nothing, and it looks a lot nicer. Not like many are lifting the trunk lining to look at the floor and spare, but I just preferred the look enough to give it a shot. When I put the stuff in tomorrow / over the weekend I'll let ya know how it does.
I used 2 layers of Peel n Seal on my doors, and it works great, but if I were to do it again, I'd go with secondskin or eDead. If you're doing your trunk lid, I'd stay away from P&S, just because it's heat tolerance is not that high, and it might start to peal from the lid when it gets pretty hot, but it would be fine on the floor or parts where it's not vertical or upside down. You can get a 40-50% discount from the second skin rep if you register on caraudioforum.com, and he also gives free shipping to members. It comes out pretty close to the cost for P&S. A couple more that nobody else mentioned are FatMat, which comes out to about $1 per sq. ft, and brownbread.

I've installed a bunch of different types of sound deadening material (including almost all of what you have listed here) and I've had people come back bitching about almost all of it. My shop no longer sells anything other than Dynamat Extreme because the owner kept having to honor warranties on **** that was peeling because the heat tolerance of most of the stuff is so low. This is a HUGE problem in the doors and trunk especially becaue of the mess that the adhesive can make in your door panels and the inside of your trunk. I wouldn't recommend anything but Dynamat Extreme. As for prices you can get a shop-roll for $250 or a trunk-kit for $100 or so. If you go to Ebay you may be able to get a better deal. Or you can buy the cheap ****, and run the risk of getting half way through the summer, and then realize your mistake and have to go out and get it cleaned up and buy the dynamat to replace it. It's your choice.
I have over 100 ft^2 of B-Quiet in my 95 Tbird, and it works awesome.
Just slightly over $100 shipped for 100 ft^2 on eBay.
I also use and experiment with several types of industrial or "alternate" deadenings regularly.
One thing is for certain, I have never had an issue with any of the products that I previously mentioned in the 9 years that I have been into car audio.
IMHO, unless you are wealthy, you are a fool to buy Dynamat.
There are simply too many other alternatives that get the job done just as well, and with less cost.
