Progress Thread 2002 Mustang 3.8L CV

Good morning,
I have been blessed with the barn finds yet again and got my hands on yet another 02 3.8L CV this time as the title reads. I must be a masochist at this point as love putting myself through the suffering of electrical head aches that may be simple so some more experienced veterans. Unfortunately I am an incompetent mechanic. Anyone who is willing to help me again please tag along in the process and give me guidance as I have no where else to turn to in these matters.


So far 7 dtc that I haven’t looked in too.

Fuel gauge doesn’t work,

All interior and exterior lights dim when operating window. (Windows do not work but there is power; ingress, short to ground?)

Turbo icon on instrument cluster?

Radio not working

E brake light stuck on.


I will scan dtc with forscan on my day off next Sunday after I attempt to install new window regulators. While I program new keys for my vehicle as well I’ll see what all these Christmas lights are about and post them here. Thank you God Bless

As for dtc goes I had quite a few that I was able to situate fairly quickly, allot of the trouble codes; misfire, camshaft position sensor over advanced, etc. were all resolved with some packing tape and the American dream.

Air intake had a massive vacuum leak that was patched up temporarily and is holding strong. Only code it’s showing is the fuel level sensor. I only test drove it for about 2 miles just got everything situated to take her for a real spin. Needs a new battery and some oil leaks from valve cover b1&b2 and pan
