Hey,

I just picked up a flyer for "Seattle's 2nd Annual Dyno Challenge". It is August 18 - 19th from 9 - 5pm. There are classes for 4, 5, 6, 8 and over cylinder engines as well as hp per liter.

Kito Auto Sports, 1111 NW 54th St. Seattle, WA 98107.

$20 hook up, $15 per pull (5 pull max), $5 air / fuel logging. They have a Mustang MD-500 AWD capable dyno

Anyone on here that can go run their car and make a good showing for the Mustang or SVT crowd? It better run strong cause I have heard of a few 800 whp imports around here!!!! Yikes!

Post if you think you can dyno and let us know what day you will go. Maybe we can get a bunch of Fords down there.

I took the 99 last year, the day I went I was the only stang there, and only 1 of 3 domestics. I wasn't happy with my numbers there. I got dynoed a few months later at hpranch and it was also a MD. The numbers were higher at hp than kito. I had changed nothing between the two dyno days. And the weather was nearly the same at both places.

On a side note over on SVTP they are putting together a dyno day over at hpranch next month.

2nd HPranch...

In the past Kito's Dyno days have been less than stellar. I can think of a few instances where the load was setup wrong resulting in way to long 4th gear pulls lots of smoke and overheating transmissions. When it was pointed out that something was wrong... ie. a 450 whp, heavily modded car putting down the same as a close to stock same model car... NO REFUNDS was the answer.

I am sure you know all dyno's read differently, including the same type of Dyno. If you find a Dyno Facility/Operator/Tuner you like stick with them. In general don't be concerned with numbers. Get a baseline, mod, then Dyno again... wash, rinse, repeat.

I won't go to Kitos's because of the attitude and lack of trust in the Operator and Facility.
