This did not go as well as I had hoped. I had seen others on this board pull well over 300 with similar setups. 1st run 221.5hp and 289.6tq, 2nd run 224.2 and 292.6tq. After these numbers I did not even pull a third time. At 4000 rpms the A/F goes under 12.1 and at 4400 it goes off the chart (which goes to 10.1). The car climbed steady until this point at what time it leveled off. Max torque came at about 3800 and steadily declined. So what are my opitions to fix this problem? The guys that where there with me suggested either a dyno tune or a new fmu. Would a custom tune fix this? What shop would you recommed for a dyno tune? What about a custom programmer such as Superchips, Diablo, or Tweezer? Please help.

it's your tune. 10:1 is hella rich up top. it should be just under 12:1. and your timing is probably set way back. get a new tune.

Wow, sounds like it's getting way too rich up top which is killing your numbers. Dont try to go with a programmable tune, get an actual dyno tune from a professional.

Yeah thats def. not good, I put down basically that much with just bolt-ons. I'd take it real easy and get a tune as soon as possible.

I already gave you my advice.

I'm still trying to figure out why I was running so rich as well. I got my tuned PCM in the mail the day I got back to Franklin, and put it in immediately. My Scanmaster shows that it was running a bit leaner, and that the timing was a bit more aggressive. Definately can feel it at partial throttle, but WOT doesn't feel too much different. I think the opti is to blame for my choppy graph, and loss of power.

Results: 258.9 rwhp and 298.4 rwtq

A Bolt On Blown 96 GT that dynos less than stock 99+ GT's, yea you got a problem, I would think a tune would help, but going by those numbers, I would not look past motor damage as well, that is very low numbers.

I am going to give Tim a call tomorrow. Does anyone have the number off hand? Brandon (Z28) I have to sell mine before I can take your advice bud. I have already looked at the auto trader for some possible ideas.

Yeh something is wrong. Your putting down what a stock 99= gt puts down. if you got the money go ahead and do a pi head and intake swap. Than you have potential to get 360-400 rwhp wit hte right exhaust and a tune.

99 GT's only put down 220hp to the wheels? That seems like an awfully low number, even for a Mustang. But seriously though, I thought they were comparable to 93-97 LT1 Camaro's?

I would look for motor damage as well. You're motor may be worn to crap and because of it, you're loosing compression.

How many miles are on this motor and how many miles you been running the blower ?

Yep, the newer mustangs are putting down more power stock, so check the compressions.

and yes Z28, they don't put down much power though do run with the Lt1s.

charged, is the MAF working?
Assuming the Maf is working, and can run in
closed loop at cruise, the ecu should be able to
command 15 percent more fuel (for PE),
rather easily.
......
dumb q, is your setup, blow thru the maf, or draw thru?

I gues you guys would be the ones to ask. I'm either buying a used s-trim kit w/the straight cut gears or a P1SC kit w/the 3 core intercooler. I want a loud blower! Which of these too will give me good numbers and I guess reliability? I'm new to this whole blower thing but I plan to buy one of these by friday so any help would be appreciated. Also are 12's in my reach? I went 14.4's w/18'' rims so I think with the proper tire setup and either of those blowers that I can reach my goal. Any help would be great thanks!
