Just got home and she put down 279hp (around 335 crank hp) and 294 Ft-Lbs on a mustang dyno. Not bad for still having the stock headers and a catted H pipe. Also from what I here his dyno puts out low numbers compared to others in the state. My tuner and myself think I should be able to see 300rwhp with the LTs and X pipe. The stalling issues are gone and she now idles at 850 rpm. Chris (tuner) was impressed with the HiTechs, he thought I would just be pushing 260rwhp seeing as it's an automatic.

I dunno why you're downplaying your numbers, those are kick-ass through an auto on a mustang dyno w/out LT's. And 279 through your auto is closer to 348fwhp, sad right?

I only got 5 more hp and tq than you with ported heads and beehive springs and built auto

thank you sir.

im really surprised the cams didn't raise the peak hp in the rpm range at all  it actually lowered it? it looks like it starts to drop off at about 5630

someone correct me if im wrong but stock a pi gt will peak around 5800?

i really figured it would raise the peak hp

This is the reason most people like HiTech cams....stock PI cams are most like 5500

HiTechs try to make as much power as soon as possible. Oh and no changing valve springs on the HiTech. Seems that HiTech didn't lie when they said they make the best stage II cam for are motor.

who said anything about changing the valvesprings?
i have comp cams valvesprings but i wanted to be on the safe side. i know they aren't required by hitech.

and what i mean to say is that i figured it would really raise the peak hp in the rpm band.

good numbers dude:nice:

The spring comment wasn't directed at you just something in general for other peoples information.
