I got a quote for a dyno tune at $150/hr with a 2hr minimum. Does that seem about right? It would be tuned at Steeda. Has anyone tuned there? If so, what experience did you have w/them? I know they are a reputable company for mustangs, but want to know their tuning experience and knowledge. Thanks.

That's not out of line for a dyno tune especially considering it's Steeda. Some of that buck and a half is for the name.

What kind of dyno do they use?

Question would be why you feel you need to have the car dyno tuned? According to the parts in your signature a dyno tune would most likely be as waste of money and time. The money is better spend on either replacing worn or upgrading components in my opinion. Price give is not unusual, my SCT session was 5 hours..with chip the total if I recall was mid 400's.

I am not sure what kind of dyno they use. I would have to ask them that.

The tune wouldn't be on how I have the car right now. I plan on supercharging it soon. I will be running a paxton novi-1000 base 6psi kit. I don't think i'll need the tune w/the base kit, but if it starts giving me problems I will, so I was checking prices from now to know what I have to expect.

In that case the tune would be ideal, you will need to have a bung welded into the mid pipe for best A/F ratio. Likely they can do that on site, but make sure they can and see if that factors into the price.
