Well, today I dyno'ed my 1996 GT, to see where I stood with the new 2001 Engine installed:

First I'll tell you my mods:

Stock 2001 2V 4.6L SOHC Longblock
WMS Fenderwell Cold Air w/ K&N
87mm PRO-M MAF
70mm BBK TB
MAC Longtube Headers
MAC O/R H Pipe
Flowmaster American Thunder 2 chambs.
Steeda Alt, Crank pulleys (did not have the Water Pump pulley because it wouldn't transfer from the 96 Engine)
Screamin Demon 42KV Coil Packs
MSD 8.5mm wires
Autolite 764's gapped @ .065
T-56 6 speed
FMS 4.30:1 Rearend Gears

I made 250RWHP/286RWTQ SAE numbers, and here's a pic I took of the graph! Let me know what you think. I don't quite understand A/F graphs so maybe you could help me out in that department as well!

Please enlighten me on what you all call a good tune, and how would I go abouts getting one?

I take it you aren't referring to a mail order chip, but a custom dyno tune? Would it be possible for me to tune the car myself?

What if I decide to put cams in down the road in 6 mos.?? Can I retune on the same chip?

Thanks for the input, and clearly my A/F is wack, but I am an idiot in the tuning business

Yes a good tune means a dyno tune. there is probably a good 5 to 10 hp in there if you get that a/f ratio evened out. If you really want to tune the car yourself, you do have some options. I went with the tweecer rt, and with as much as you have done to your car it may be something for you to look into. It allows for real time data logging, so you can really monitor your changes. to get your a/f right you would still need some dyno time, or you could install a wide band o2 sensor.

good numbers, while ur a/f needs work but you can solve it quickly. You can go get modular depot's SCT n/a tune for $300 bucks i believe or go to Apten tuning and get it dyno tuned for $400. sorry i couldnt make it to the dyno

I think I would like to go with something that I can tune the car with personally. This way, further down the road if I get my heads PP and Stage 2 cams in, I will be able to reburn a chip without the hassle of mailing one off to get a new burn on it.

What are my options if I want to go this method/route and what am I looking to pay?
