If you want great sound and great performance, I reccomend the Magnaflow Catback and O/R X-pipe combo, mine sounds MEAN! Look for performance Peddler on Ebay for a great deal on them too.

I am not a big fan of the super turbo sound. have never heard it with an off road x though. sounded stocker than stock IMO.

The Super Turbos have always been a big hit with the 5.0L guys. From what I understand, they are VERY quiet with the stock H-pipe but will wake up with the addition of an O/R H or X during WOT but are still quiet a cruising speed with the o/r pipe.

If you want something really quiet, they are a proven muffler

In high school my friend put the cat back on his 90LX because it was cheap and he was tired of his factory exhaust. It was off for a Flowmaster(2 chamber) exhaust in two weeks. The ultra flows actually made his car feel slower. It really felt like it lost hp. No the mufflers weren't backwards.
The Flows really woke his car up. With flows, bumped timing, a K&N(silencer ripped out), and some very agressive driving he went 13.99 his first run. Then it was 14.0's-14.2's for the rest of the day.

they are super turbo's, not ultra flows, and I highly doubt that flowmasters really woke up his car, since they have been proven to not "flow" very well

i have them, they sound almost stock when you put then on but after a few months thet get a little broken and are a little louder, i bought them because i plan on an o/r x pipe and i don't want it to be loud.

I have Dynomax Superturbo mufflers on a 96 Cobra. When I first purchased the car it had 2-chamber flows and was just too loud for any serious long distance highway cruising. When I picked up the car and drove it home (a 4-hour drive) the noise from the flows about killed me. I actually would have preferred to go back to the stock Ford cobra exhaust, but the dealer wanted over $400 per side for the factory catbacks. I've been told that the Dynomax superturbos are as close to stock sounding as I am going to find w/o visting my local Ford store. They have been on the car since November 02 and are holding up fine. They have a very slight drone at about 2100 rpm.
