I got an awesome deal on an e-303 cam so i am purchasing it and i am gonna put that in along with a set of GT40p heads 1:6 roller rockers, exploder intake, mass air conversion, and 65mm TB. Will this combo be more noticeable then stock? How many of you run this type of combo and what are your times with it?

i dont have the combo but i am sure it would run great. The e cam isnt too wild, will definatly use those heads, but wont rob you totally of your low end.

Left my GT40 iron head, E303, Mac shorty, BBK 2.5" cat h-pipe, 2 chamber Flowmaster '90 LX idling at the ATM machine while I made my withdrawal, and the guy next to me looked at it and said: "That's the way they should sound, it's cool." And it was.

big difference over stock. time in my sig. that was with stock gears and only my third time ever going to the track. car can go 12's when i get some more track experience and some traction. with that 2.4 60' i was spinng through first. i get so many complements for the way my car sounds.

Sweet im hoping with this combo to get low 13's when i learn to launch better. Im basicly buying this stuff and letting it sit before i install. Im planning on installing it over the summer while im on vacation at my fathers.

You'll be running pretty much the same combo that I used to have minus the 3 cam as I was still running a stock cam. It was good for 14.18 @ 98mph in an AOD vert with 4.10s.

One thing to definetely do is change out the springs on those p heads so that they match the lift of the e cam. I do not believe that the stock explorer springs will work. I just got that trickflow spring upgrade kit for gt40 iron heads and put them on. Also I don't think that your stock exhaust manifolds will work with the p heads due to the spark plug relocation. I would hunt ebay for a nice set of ceramic coated p specific headers. It took a little while but I got a brand new set of FRPP ceramics for $150 shipped

My old combo was 70mm tb, 1.6 rr, GT40P heads, full exhaust, GT40 intake ( explorer lower, tubular upper, stock cam, 4.10s and smog and EGR delete. Went 14.18 @ 97.98. New combo is 70mm tb, 1.6rr, GT40P heads, fulle exhaust, Trickflow Trackheat, TFS stage 1 cam, 4.10s and smog delete. Last time I was at OSW I went 14.24 @ 100.03. So I am making more power but having a harder time getting it on the pavement. Hopefully my new DRs will help solve that problem.

Let me know if you need a hand. Should take about a day to intall heads, cam and intake. Not sure about mass air conversion.

It will be a lot of fun.

If you have enough gear in the car and some tire I don't see why you couldn't crack the 12's. Mid to high 13's on radials if the car runs good.

My combo is somewhat close to yours, it feels alot stronger than before. I installed my H/C/RR 3 weeks ago. Im going to the Track when I get some Drag Radials in March. Good luck and post your E.T. :SNSign: .

Oh and use stiffer springs. Some of the worst disasters imaginable are caused by loss of valve control. The idea that stiffer springs eat up hp is a myth. Think about it, there are always the same amount of valves being open and closed at the same time, stiffer springs aren't going to ad that much more resistance. I'd rather have stiffer springs than floating valves. Cause the first time you take it through the gears and you float the valves your going to be pissed...ill tell you that from experience.

I have edelbrock heads/intake, and a crane 2040 came (same as e-cam). I LOVE it as my spring/summer daily driver. The cam has great street manners while still yielding good power and it passes the sniffer with flying colors in most cases.

I have ported e7's, e303 with 1.7s and explorer intake in a 90 gt with a 5spd and 3.73 gears. It ran 13.25 on good tires. I'd like to swap the shorties for long tubes. That and some tuning should net a 12 second slip.

It did loose a little low end over stock, but picked up plenty up top.
