from what i have read on the internet they are great plugs for n/a apps but suck for any kind of fi including nitrous because they dont come in colder heat ranges. one guy i know of removed them from his 2v gt after 5k with a few shots of juice and the tips were gone.

Buy a set,

run your car on the dyno, change plugs, run again and let me know if you gain 5 hp.

I have an old mechanic buddy who threw them at his exploder and he claims he jumped an honest 3 mpg and the thing will at least break the back tires loose again.

He is going to try them in a few other vehicles and see if he gets the same results. He only owns Fords, so it will be interesting to see how they do.

I would only buy if they have the long threaded versions. Not looking to shoot a plug through my heads.

Copper plugs naturally have a short life, my car was completely debilitated coming home from the beach one night with under 7K on the plugs. Never again.

The problem is more so having a lack of threads in the head itself from what I understand.

I've used short thread plugs in mine and so far so good (finger crossing, lol).

Something is wrong big time, either internally in your engine or you got a very foul set of plugs to begin with.

I went 30k on a set of Autolite 764 coppers and they were worn just like the should be. Still useable aswell...

As far as Bosch... meh. I don't quite see them like I see FRAM, but they are on that list.

5.5hp could be gained easily just from swapping from foul to fresh plugs.

I don't think it would be that high. The newer 4.6s come from the factory with platinum plugs.
