I just called advanced auto and i asked about swapping my old gt40p heads for some rebuilt ones. She said the numbers were e5te and e7te. Are these the same as a gt40p head or is she a retard?

NO...E5s were pre 86 and the E7TE was 87-93. These heads were on Mustangs, trucks, and passenger cars...The GT40p came from an Explorer. Ask for an Explorer heads and you will get the GT40ps..

No way e7's are different than GT40p which are some pretty good stock heads found on explorers. Eventhough the exhaust port is 1.46 not 1.54 like on the gt40. p's flow better...I wish they had 64cc chambers. 4 vertical lines on the front of each cylinder head are gt40p. 3 lines are gt40. I would just rebuild your p's if u didn't want to go with an aftermarket head.
