I just Pulled My Heads off my Motor and Found that they dont have the thermactor Bumps and they have never been touched Complete visible rough casting completely through heads just they were the day they left the factory so what gives?? Also i found 2 Valve Guides cracked inside the Intake ports...so im thinking the heads are now as good as Boat anchors since the inside guides are cracked.

Unless you get tailor wires or wire boots... you should be somewhat OK.

the thermactor bumps appeared in 1967 if your sure they wern't ground off those heads could be valuable to certain people, they are easy to port have a small combuston chamber, and depending on the year should have pushrod guides like a SBC
look for a c0oe to a c6oe or ae in them if you find a c5ze or c6ze they are worth some money.

Why dont you just port those heads, and put in 1.96/7 intake valves and 1.60 exhaust.

You'll definantly be rockin.
