One set was built in Pennsylvania.

Seriously though....If memory serves, the "PA" signifies "Passenger Vehicle" There's no difference between the two, except the vehicle they were designated for. The other being stamped “T” for truck head.

Also keep in mind, that E7TE was also used to cast "bocks" and "intake manifolds" This was just another way of telling the numbers apart.

I didnt was to assume the PA thing as assuming is never good. But what do you mean by, was also used to cast "bocks" and "intake manifolds"?
I have been looking on E-Bay for heads and have seen them listed both ways and it seams that the PA one's dont ever seam to get as many bids, Is there a reasone for this you think? Thank you

check out the casting number in this list. http://www.butlers-a1.com/fordm.htm Some 302 blocks were cast as E7TE's as well. Although it does not signify manifolds here, there were manifolds designated ET7E as well.

Ignorance mainly.....that's all. One is as good as another.

C = 60
D = 70
E = 80

7 = 7 easy enough

E7TE = 1987 engineering number. Means the part was designed/engineered in 1987. The T most often signifies it's for a truck, but not always. The next cluster of numbers indicate the type pf part it is (ie... head, intake, exhaust, etc...) then if there are more numbers they are revisions.

So an E7TE head with PA is just a revised E7TE head. Could be something as simple as adding a bolt hole or as major as a different valve size or anything sort of a total redesign.

Well...the change from the E6SE heads along with later model EFI intake and slightly larger T/B was good for 25hp between the '86 and '87 model year. The difference gets larger still when you start adding other breathing mods on top of that.

But, if you're going to go to the trouble of changing to a set of E7TE heads, at least have them ported before puting them on!
