Hey guys,

I am looking around for an eaton supercharger, basically, I am junk yard scrouning at this point (I'm in college, etc...=lack there of funds). I was curious, does the SC that Ford put on the 3.8 work with the 4.6?

No, the blower from the 3.8 Supercoupes won't work. You can always try to find a blower off of a wrecked Saleen or Roush.

I agree. Finding a complete system is probably the best way to go. Remember, besides the compressor, you also need the upper and lower intake manifold, heat exchanger, intercooler, I.C. reservoir, larger injectors bypass valve, miscellaneous brackets, hardware and plumbing, and a tune, at the least. It could be quite challenging to piece together your own system with a blower from a different car.

I think used Saleen Series IIs are going for around 2Gs.

you'd have to find an eaton from a roush or saleen like redfire said. the heaton off of an 03/04 cobra wont work without major custom fab work. it will be cheaper just to find a blower that is complete and designed for your GT. just start checking out the classifieds on different boards. im sure you can eventually get a complete used blower for a great price. sign up for a local mustang forum and look there. theres always great deals on local forums.

Actually, there is one other company that uses that style blower that it appears that most here are not aware of. Allen Engine Development http://www.allenengine.com/ uses exactly that (an Eaton M90) in their early REV I/REV II kits. The only year M90's worth scrounging for are the '94-'95 Supercoupe 3rd Generation ones, but even then, you have to have the nose drive modified to work with the AED kit.

To piece together the rest of the kit isn't exactly going to be cheap, since these kits are pure gold on Ebay and any used ones are almost instantly bought up for a good buck by Thunderbird/Cougar/Crown Vic/Mustang guys (like myself :D ) and are rarely ever parted out.

Sorry man, but you’re probably going to have to bite the bullet and spring for a legit kit, or settle for life without a blower!
