Are you willing to put your transmission's life on the line for a $100 difference?

Not worth it in my opinion. Not a chance that I would ever put that in my car. You get what you pay for.

i wonder if they sell any of these, i mean i know the name brand ones are the only way to go but, theyre both made out of stainless steel so im just wondering what could be so bad about these.

Not sure man but I'm sure they're extremely cheap for a reason. I just wouldn't take the chance on something as vital as a transmission. I mean I guess try it if you're determined and listen for any odd noises and ease of changing gears.

I would just wait and find a used Pro 5.0/Tri-Ax/B&M

Its the exact same one from American Muscle, the cheapest one. I think theres a company that sales them to anyone willing to distribute them. Just installed today, nothing wrong w/it. Anythings better than stock. Its tighter, my other one moved around alot, I miss gears less with the new one. Again, nothings wrong w/it. Comes w/ two sets of springs, use the one already in it. I like it.

Good reviews but I still wouldn't do it.

If others have had success then go for it.

Dude, take it from me, cheap parts are a pain in the a$$. I have chepo headers, mid pipe, and a pypes exhaust. none of it fits right. The steering shaft touches the headers so i get engine noise inside the car and notchy steering in reverse. We had to dent the floor pan to make room for the drivers side collector. The catback sounds great, but I can't get the pipes straight to save my life.

Spend the extra hundred bucks. I saved three hundred bucks on parts and have regretted it since.

man some parts though are different, for example the cold air intake kit on american muscle. all it is, is just a bunch of tubes, the bbk is 200 bucks and the cheap one is 80 dollars, ive had it for 3 years and works just the same as the bbk one i used to have in my 95 cobra. and if it breaks oh well

I agree 100%. Some people are deathly scared of anything cheap but the truth is just because its cheap doesn't mean its automatically a piece of ****. I like to think that I have a nice car and i didn't have to spend as much as most people because im not afraid to try out the less expensive parts to save money here and there for other stuff. All in all, it has payed off very well for me and I don't regret one thing I've added.

I fully recommend the cheap Ebay shifter, I've used it before and I think its a good quality product. I had no issues with mine what-so-ever and it shifted like a dream. There are some things worth spending more money on and some things that are just not, although the manufacturers of the more expensive versions are going to try to convince you why you should spend more on their products instead of the cheap ones because they want your money, plain and simple.

Cold air intake, shifter, cotton filters, maybe some others I forgot to mention, these items are easily replaced and manufactured but, if you get into the internals, pulleys, axles gears, generally stuff that takes hours or even days to replace you want to prepare to spend money for the quality manufactures, for peace of mind if nothing else. Theres nothing wrong w/some of the cheap products. Mustang parts are getting cheaper each year like the Fox Bodies. I say get it.

The $80 CAi isn't worth it. The only one worth it is the JLT that puts the cone in the fender wall AWAY from the engine heat. Hell go read Kennebell's statement about warranty issues with so call CAI's.
