Long story short, I had swapped a '93 Cougar complete 5.0L EFI into my 1980 Bronco. Ran good, but I was using the original C6 vice the transmission that receives electronic inputs from the ECU.
Now I have totalled that Bronco and I'm putting the same powertrain into my '78. This time, rather than fix the stalling problem going downhill I want to go with a manual transmission computer, but you couldn't get a 91-93 cougar with a M/T.
The wiring diagrams I have seen tell me that the Thunderbird M/T ECU is a direct interchange for this.
Will a certain year of mustang work as well?
Am I correct that the T-bird M/T computer will interchange?
Thanks!
