since the gas prices are gettin so high around here , $2.15 a gallon, how much of a performance cut would i get by switchin the computer back to 87 octane mode? and this is off subject but how much could i get a mustang with no motor or trans ( has to be a 5 speed car) but a good body and worn but usable interior for( halfway decent rolling chasis)? my car (body) is just gettin worse and worse but the motor is so much fun to drive (got it to run a 14.97 1/4 mile this past sunday) but the body is just ****tin out so i want to just swap the motor out to a nicer car and put the intercooler on and the turbo coupe bellhousing and pressure plate and stuff so i was just wonderin how much i could get a car for thanks

You'll lose quite a bit of power, it may be worth it though.

Depends, you'll just have to start looking.

Sometimes you'll stumble across great deals. A lot of times, especially with 2.3 Mustangs, people just abandon them and then later on sell them off cheap just to get them out of there yard. Thats how I ended up with mine. Paid $500 Canadian which is about $375 US for it. However, that kinda came back to bite me because I've needed to replace next to everything. Could explain why I've had the car for about three years and it's pretty much still bone stock. Oh well, it's comin together finally. Anyways, my point within my rambling is that you could probably find a pretty decent Stang for pretty cheap, you just gotta look closely.
