justa another rant... im pissed at myself....

so im putting my motor back together, i take a shortcut and reuse the crappy old valvecoverbolts until i tear it down again for new heads.. so im torqueing them down to spec. snap! grrrr... the top pass side bolt in the middle is now broken off in the hole.. i mean. come on! there is so little torque, how could that break! so i drill it, got a lil off centered, so off to autobone i go to get a 1/4 in. tap.. i pick up a cheap one, cuz i mean.. i only need it for once right? so i go home, screw it in, back it out, to clean the threads every once and a while as usual.. screw it in, back it ou.......snap!

im boned..
at least they made it good enough where you cant drill it because its hardened..

what are the chance ill leak all over my re-done motor with the center-top- pass. side bolt out of the valve cover?

what kind of gaskets are you using? if its cork.. forget it... but if you get the rubber ones with the re-enforced metal, you might be able to get away with it

the only other thing i can think of is if you take the cover off and try to use some high heat silicone to temp fix it.
