Ok, searched through the forum and couldn't find this. I can't find it in any of my magazines or catalouges. I've seen this thing but can't find it right now. Anyone know where to get those batery tray conversions that turn the stock batery tray in the engine bay into a cold air intake system ?

I have never seen or heard of such an animal. Sounds cool if you can find it. Sorry I could not help. I decided to make my own. I will look around. Two sets of eyes are better than one.

It might have been a custom fab job. Are you talking about moving the battery to the trunk and the left over space is the new Air filter location?

Yes, thats exactly it. It is a custom setup but its mass produced and basically bolt in. I know I've seen it and I've talked to some local people who have seen it also but I can't find any of the magazines it was in.

Haven't seen it but all you have to do is mark the location of the stock e.f.i. box, drill the appropiate sized hole, and bolt the box on.

they dont make anything for vintage mustangs, but look for a CAI fenderwell kit, BBK,Volant,Steeda etc make them for late models, but a classic is fabbed up.

Hello Rusty67,

look at my webpage. There are some other pictures in the
section "Die Technik". Unfortunately it is written in german
I took a big K&N cleaner and protect it with a aluminium sheet.
Before this change the filter was in the engine bay. On hot
sommer days the power of the engine was noticeably less.

Again I agree that on a classic is a custom job. Not that difficult to undertake yourself. The only kits available are for the 5.0's and 4.6's.
