EFI Fuel Filter

Hey,

Thanks to people on this forums I have decided to run a Walbro Gsl392 fuel pump for my 65 EFI coupe, my question is what setup should I run for my fuel filter?

I used one from a Windstar, and bought a new bracket for the same from the dealer. A little work with a hacksaw and I was able to mount it using the existing tank mounting hardware. There are photos on my Cardomain pages.

Take a look at these fittings if you intend to use the plastic line, no release tool needed and there are shorter in overall length than the OE type. http://fuelsender.com/

Excellent pump. I have the same one.

What is the rest of your system? Will you be using a header/surge tank? Single pump (the Walbro)? What fittings are you using? The barbs that came with pump or AN style? Running off stock tank?

I've got a low pressure pre pump filter and a high pressure post pump filter. The post pump filter is GM type. Adapters are available for both barb and AN to fit the GM filter.

Hmm... I am going to be using the Walbro unit as a stand alone unit. As for the Aeromotive, would it be a good combo with the walbro?

I have the Walbro GSL392 in line with the Aeromotive filter that's in my Summit link above. Works well...

Stock tank with a low-pressure Carter pump (with a 100-micron pre-filter) feeding a 0.6-gallon surge tank. The Walbro draws from the surge tank through the 10-micron Aeromotive filter and into the engine bay. Return is straight to tank through the drain port for both the surge tank and engine return. It's an adventure in AN and steel plumbing underneath my car...
