i have a 93 302HO roller block which i swapped a carb setup onto... car keeps loading up on fuel when there is a load on the motor... i bought a new edlebrock 600 carb, i have an electric pump with 3/8" steel line, timing is on and firing order is correct. the only problem i am troubleshooting could be the intake... i have a performer 289 intake. i know 289 and 302 were the same in the 60's but could it be that the intake ports on the heads are different in an HO motor?

thanks...Bill

So you continue to get fuel in the engine after you shut it down? May I ask if you are using a regulator? You maybe 2 high of psi and blowing gas through the carb or perhaps you have a piece of dirt in the seat and the carb lets fuel continue to run.
