It sounds like I need a 69-70 gas peddle and then a late model cable. Is this correct? That will be a bolt in deal, and should be no fabing?

Living in Alaska finding a Mustang in a salvage yard is very rare!!! Where can I find a gas peddle and bracket for a 69-70?

The 69-70 works fine, with the fox body cable. I have one in my 65. Though actually just about any year, mustang cable actuating pedal will work, though each will require a little tweaking. Make sure to get full butterfly opening.

I used a Fox (87-93) pedal with cable, and attached it using the bracket built for that purpose - National parts depot sells them, among others. You might have an easier time finding a Fox-body pedal than a '69 one...

well I took red's advice and found a fox peddle and cable. Now I can't find the bracket! I calle NPD, Mustang Depot, and Sacramento Mustang, and nothing! I also searched Mustang Plus website with no luck either!

Anyone have a part number or no where to get the bracket? or once agian where to get a 69-70 peddle?

National Parts Depot's part number is 9725-10. Unfortunately, I think they source the part from Windsor-Fox, which has earned a bad reputation on this board for being less than reliable. I'm not sure by your note if NPD didn't have them, or if you just couldn't find them in the catalog.
Hope that helps - I feel bad for possibly leading you astray...

I found that NPD did not have the bracket, and had no idea when or if they would get more. I ended up fabbing my own bracket similar to the W-F one.

I didn't give them that part number but the guy said he couldn't find anything like that in the computer. When taking to a fellow at Sacramento Mustang he told me that was a Windsor-fox item, and they have not answered any phone calls for about the past year.

What does the bracket do anyways?

The bracket just spaces the Fox accelerator pedal away from the floor, provides the correct mounting bolt pattern, and angles it appropriately for the '65's floor pan (back toward you more). mustangracer has it right - this would be an easy part to fabricate if you have access to basic shop tools, including a welder. I'm sure you could dream up a bolted assembly as well if welding is a problem. The only nice thing about the W-F part (I guess that's what it was) is that someone's already done the skull-work for you. Good luck!
