EGR Bypass question

I have a 1994 5.0 Mustang, I took off the all smog pump clustaer junk. I put a set of BBK headers on. However It didnt have the EGR Tube nip on it. So what I did is found a pipe cap and blocked off the nip on the EGR. Will this cause any problems ?. When I ran the motor, It seamed fine, no check light on.

Shouldn't cause any problems

Did you generate a hard EGR code? If not, you could see some part-throttle pinging (the EEC thinks the inert EGR gasses are still being introduced and raises spark advance while reducing injector PW).
