Would it be possible if there is a leak in the EGR gasket that coolant could get into the intake? I don't see how but.. And also would a leaking egr gasket cause drivability issues such as hesitation?
A leaking EGR gasket won't have anything to do with coolant in the intake. That would be the lower intake gaskets. A leaking EGR would make for hesitation and other drivability issues.
So it could be either of the two. But a leaking intake gasket wouldn't really cause a problem sporadically, like when its hot right? It would cause a vacuum leak all the time which would always make for poor driveability or idle. This problem is only when the car is hot, which leads me to believe the EGR could be at fault.
