well, being that there was a problem with the tube, that makes it a whole other story. as far as leaving it alone, the egr is completely closed at WOT. the only time it does anything is at part throttle which is why i said there is absolutely no perfromance increase by removing it. the only correct way to remove the egr is to completely remove the entire thing from the intake elbow, use a blockoff plate on the elbow, cap the header, and remove the egr system in the eec with a tweecer , pms, or custom chip.
