My 00 GT is my daily driver with 42000 miles. I want to lower it and am thinking of going with Eibach Sportline springs but am worried they might be too stiff/low. Should I just go with Pro-Kit or will I be ok? I am trying to upgrade my suspension one piece at a time because I dont have the money to do shocks/struts, caster/camber plates, control arms, etc. all at once.

I like the pro-kit because it lowered my car exactly the way I wanted it... not too low. It seemed to improve the handling also. But atleast I dont bottom out on every bump or driveways, etc.

your best bet is to save up and do it all at once cause you'll definately need the c/c plates with sportlines, you'll need the shocks/struts with them too. It's also easier to do it all at once instead of ripping your car apart everytime you have only one part to put on. Those parts all work together and they can't perform right unless everything (springs,shocks/struts, plates, control arms) is there together.

I will say the Sportlines. I love the nice drop and the ride is not all that bad. I live New Orleans with probably the worst pot holes around. All it is is roughly and extra 3/4" lower.

I don't have any issues with scraping. Just don't do 100 mph over bumps.

Well, I have sportlines and I don't have any of the above you mentioned. Have put 6k miles on the odo since then and I have 0 issues. I have even measured the tread depth and it is showing no unusual wear.

I have the Pro-Kit and it's a decent drop(I'd say mine is 1.5). I don't bottom out on much, just gotta take inclines, etc careful. I needed c/c plates too. Sportlines are too drastic for day to day for me. I honestly think it's wise to do the plates with your springs.

if your doing daily driving i say go with the pro kit...especially if u have aftermarket exhaust...with the pro kit i only have a couple of inches of clearance between the ground and my x pipe...i cant imagine if i woulda gone any lower...in my mind the pro kit gives the perfect drop for daily driving it gets rid of the 4x4 look closes in the gap between the tire and fender well and u still for the most part dont have to worry to much about scrapping and ur ride is still great.....whether u go with the pro kit or sport kit i highly suggest new cc plates, a bumpsteer kit, and being u have 40,000 miles id suggest new shocks and struts

If you have a lot of hills where you live the sportlines might be too much a drop, but personally I think they look better. Ive seen people on ebay selling their sportlines b/c they got a body kit and it scraped afterward, so if you plan on getting a body kit in the future keep this in mind. I plan on saving until I can afford the springs and caster camber plates, and Ill probably wait until I can buy new shocks/struts too b/c I dont want to tear it apart twice. I want to get sportlines but its hilly where I live(hilly for FL at least) and my driveway has a steep incline. Does anyone with sportlines have a lot of problems with scraping?

If you go Prokit you will probably not need CC plates, I didn't. That right there saves some $$. Also, do the shocks/struts at the same time when everything is taken apart. I highly recommend the Mach 1 set up with the Pro Kit, I have it and I really like the way it rides. Not too harsh or bumpy, only a little more stiff than stock but it handles corners a lot better!
