Eibach Springs .. "not low enough"

I have a pair of eibach springs in my 2000 gt. The car just doesn't sit low enough in the front. If I want to go down another inch how much of the coil spring should I cut, one full coil? By doing so I believe Im going to need a caster camber kit.

Actualy looks lower now in person. That was right after the install. Now they (the springs) have settled.

you can pull out the isolaters and it will lower about 1/2 inch

Did you notice anymore road noise or a harsher ride with the isolaters out?

Give it about a month to fully settle. I wasn't 100% happy immediately after the install, but I am happy now.

Pulling out the isolaters will give you another 1/2 in drop, on top of the drop you all ready get from the pro kit?

yes pulling the isolaters will lower the car about 1/2 inch and you will notice more road noise. but not bad.

Not to jack yer thread but, I got the Bilstein BTS spring / shock set and it's not very low, the bottom isolater is removed and a new top piece comes with the kit, it's a quarter inch, i was thinking about cutting half a coil, but am hesitant . Any ideas?

It's just me but I can't see cutting coils... Seems like you're wastin' money and undermining what you were going for in the first place: better handling with a lower ride height...

Funny how some of you guys are taking out the isolators to lower the car more where as I will be putting in Prothane isolators hoping to raise my H&R Super Sports a bit when I install them. Guess we're never happy .

I bought mine brand new off e-bay but lots of guys on this board recommend this place for the best price. Oh and I don't have any pics yet because they aren't installed yet. Just received my isolators along with shocks and c/c plates so as soon as they fill up some of the holes on our roads, they're going in . I will post as soon as they're installed.

its it neccesary to get new shocks/struts if i am going to install an eibach pro kit, i did it before on my v6 and i didnt seem to have any probs for bout a year. now i have a 99 gt and i want to do it again but just wondering if i really need shocks and struts if i never take it to the strip

go 18-19 inch wheels

Get bigger wheels and it will look better, the eibach should be low enough for aggressive street driving, I have 18 inch chrome cobra R's and they make my stang look alot better, they are wider so it also improves traction

You might. I was wondering the same thing when I lowered my car. So far my stock struts/shocks seem to be ok, but it does ride just a tad bit bouncy on uneven pavement. I suppose I will change out the struts when I have some free cash and time to blow. It's too bad my tax dollars don't take care of all the potholes and bumps around here
