Does anyone have electric cutouts on their mustang? I'm kind of getting tired of driving on the highway with the loud exhaust at 2000 rpm. I want to hear what a cutout sounds like on a mustang. Also the mustang would require two cutouts, correct?

What aftermarket mufflers aren't loud at 2000 rpms?

Longtubes will quiet the exhaust at low RPMs.

I had FRPP shorties, mac O/R h pipe, and flowmasters which EQUALS loud at low RPMs.
I then switched to Mac jethot coated longtubes with O/R h pipe, and flowmasters and it is quiet until about 3000 rpms.

1. my spintechs are sick and dont dron at all on the highway

2. dont do cutouts! cutouts on a mustang are proven to hurt HP once you have cats removed

3 a cutout mustang sound dirty and horrible.

Amen!

Any straight through design is going to be quieter than a chambered design, that's just how they are. Magnaflow, Borla, Bassani, and the other few straight through designs are much quieter than MAC and Rustmaster.

If you don't want to spend the money on new mufflers, just turn the radio up more. You could always get a steeper ring and pinion installed so you don't cruise at 2000 RPM. :D
