electric fan help

i got the proform electric fan i hook a ground to the neg battery and pos to the battery and i cant get the fan to turn on then i tried the pos to starter senoid and still nothing. if i hook up a switch where i can just turn it on and off will that work

You first need to get it to turn on. If you cant even get it going in a bench test like you did, something is wrong with the connections being made or the motor.
 
well its a 195 thermostat. i got the autometer temp gauge it reads 200 degrees. its about 40 degress outside but the fan wont turn on. could they have sent me a bad inline fuse. could i use a man switch to turn it on.

In your first post, you indicated that it wont even power up when bench tested. Therefore I would not even bother doing anything until the fan passes a bench test.
